There is no doubt that football can be a brutal way to make a living. Over the years, football players sustain serious damage to their bodies, with many even succumbing to CTE and other serious diseases. However, it would appear that players are using their savvy to plan for lives after the NFL. These days, many believe that crypto may take them even further than their usual salaries. Seven players in particular have made the news recently, with many fans taking an interest in the fact that they have elected to take some of their salaries in crypto.

Perhaps the biggest BTC proponent is Sean Culkin of the Kansas City Chiefs. Taking to Twitter to announce that he will be converting 100% of his salary to Bitcoin, it would appear that Culkin is the very definition of "all in." As a tight end, Culkin clearly realizes that most NFL players only have a shelf life of about three years; saving for the future is key.

Meanwhile, running back Aaron Jones — of the Green Bay Packers — has even become a spokesperson for crypto exchange FTX. With an equity stake in FTX, the sky will be the limit for Jones' career in crypto.

Although he is not being compensated directly in crypto, Saquon Barkley is another player who has seen the glory of crypto. The New York Giants running back will be converting all of his endorsements into crypto.

Trevor Lawrence is yet another player who has inked a deal with FTX. The quarterback, who signed with the Carolina Panthers, certainly stands to earn a lot from his crypto endorsement.

Meanwhile, Odell Beckham Jr. has also seen the future and will be directly converting his salary through Cash App. With over $4 million on the line this year, that's a lot of crypto coming his way.

Also partnering with FTX is Tom Brady, the legendary quarterback. Brady's interest in crypto has even expanded to an NFT platform called Autograph.

Back in November, fellow quarterback Aaron Rodgers posted that he will be receiving a portion of his whopping $22 million salary in crypto.
